Financial Information

The Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway was incorporated in October 1972 as a not-for-profit educational and historical organization.

On April 2, 1973, the Internal Revenue Service designated the Gateway as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, capable of receiving tax-deductible donations. On January 30, 1976, the Internal Revenue Service further determined that the Gateway was not a private foundation, because it derives a substantial amount of its annual revenues from public support.

On October 27, 1972, the Board of Regents of the New York State Department of Education granted provisional charter 10,883 to the Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway, designating it a not-for-profit educational corporation. The provisional charter was converted into Absolute Charter number 15,110 on October 24, 1975.

We seek to make our financial situation as transparent as possible to our supporters. Accordingly, we post our recent Form 990 filings with the Internal Revenue Service here on our web site for public viewing.
