(Prototype Note: Credits give here are for the prototype, but can provide a model for what a “site credits” screen might include for the actual site)

This prototype for The Gateway Online serves as _an example only_ of what an actual Gateway Online site might include, what it might look like, and how it might function.

It was designed by Sally Gill, Ph.D. candidate in Communication and Rhetoric at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, as part of her doctoral dissertation, “Medium of the Future, Stories of the Past: The Web, Remediation, and Regional Heritage.”

She would like to express her gratitude to the following:

  • G. Steven Draper, designer of The Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway logo

  • The Rensselaer County Historical Society
    • for the help of their research librarians
    • for permission to use historic photographs

  • Sloane Bullough and the volunteers at the RiverSpark Visitor Center

  • Thomas Phelan

  • Elton Dise of JIMAPCO

  • P. Thomas Carroll, Executive Director of the Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway

The color scheme of this site was inspired by the original interior of the Burden Iron Works Building (now Museum).

The site was constructed using Macromedia Dreamweaver 2.0 and Adobe Photoshop 5.5.
